God is a Father to the fatherless. This verse has been close to my heart ever since my father passed away when I was a teenager. He is more intimate, tender, kind, understanding, and welcoming than any other person could possibly be, and He completely satisfies the longing for love. He is a Father to the orphan, and a Friend to the lonely. He is better than I ever knew.
