The Lord is my Light & Salvation

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalms‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This verse means a lot, especially when I first started to seek God and then becoming a new born again believer in Jesus Christ! Before and at the beginning of my faith journey, so much fear and anxiety had always gripped me but coming to know this truth and regularly meditating on it was reassuring for me, comforting me, encouraging me, freeing me from old mindsets!

Jesus is the Light, the light of the world! And whoever follows Him shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. (John‬ ‭8:12‬)‬‬

God saved me out of the darkness into His light!, He also saved me from what I should have deserved because of my sins but instead He took the punishment for me, for all of us! Being saved into Jesus Christ is our only hope for salvation!

And also if we remember to focus and know who God says He is and what He does for us... we should feel His presence, His love and then fear begins to disappear! And I know I can’t live this life on my own because it’s not always easy but He’s faithful and so we need Him and He becomes the strength we need to live daily. Sometimes it’s all easier said than done but nothing is too hard for God so we should trust and not be afraid!
